This piece of metal is known as an Abrasion Clip, and it works to prevent the webbing from wearing out, in turn prolonging its lifetime.
• Kinedyne Winch Straps are labeled with the working load limit and the manufacturer’s name on the tags and on the straps every 30 inches in accordance to CHP standards, WSTDA standards, CVSA guidelines, DOT regulations, and North American Cargo Securement standards.
